NOAB – Videoconference on the EU’s Trade Policy and the Rule-Based Order – Implications for the Legal Practice 9 June 2026
Dear Colleagues,
For nearly a year, the Dutch language section of the Brussels Bar has a Commission for International Relations. This Commission has been tasked with maintaining the relations with preferred foreign Bar associations, but also to engage our own foreign members. As part of the Commission’s programme, we would like to invite you to an online conference on:
The EU’s Trade Policy and the Rule-Based Order: Implications for the legal practice
Mrs. Zambarta is at the heart of shaping the European Union’s approach to the multilateral trading system, WTO reform, and the EU’s strategic positioning in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
At a time marked by heightened trade tensions, industrial policy shifts, and questions around the future of globalisation, this discussion will provide valuable insights into:
• The EU’s strategy on multilateral trade and WTO modernisation • The intersection between trade policy, economic security, and geopolitics • Key legal and regulatory developments affecting European businesses • The evolving role of the EU as a global trade actor
The presentation will be followed by an interactive exchange, offering the opportunity to engage directly on current and emerging issues relevant to legal practice.
If you are registered on the EU-list, you can register through the platform of the Orde van Vlaamse Balies via the application ‘Opleidingsinstituut’ (go to ‘Opleidingsaanbod‘, click on the criteria and fill in the month or the name of our virtual classroom ‘Foreign subsidies Regulation…” and register through the button ‘gratis inschrijven’): Link: Opleidingsinstituut – NOAB – Videoconference on EU trade relations with the US and the rest of the world
If you are registered on the B-list, you can register by sending an email to permanentevorming@baliebrussel.be.
